No question, comics are not everyone's cup of tea. This is probably more for aesthetic reasons, because comics are understood. We also want to be understood in technical communication and we want to motivate our readers to use our information product. So in this workshop, we'll take a look at a few comics and see why communication with the reader obviously works there and adopt what works for our field of technical communication. But let's not be blinded by the lightness of comics and evaluate what meets our high standards of commitment. Our readers will benefit from visual conventions that work automatically without many words.

Takeaways

Together we work with typical comics until the conventions and stylistic devices slowly emerge from the mists of Duckburg and we examine their adaptation for technical communication.
