Conference Tips: Before, During and After the Event
A conference doesn’t start with the keynote and end with the Closing Session. The real value comes from what happens before you arrive, how you engage on site, and how you follow up afterward.
Whether it’s your first conference or your fifteenth, a little preparation can make a big difference. These tips are meant to help you feel comfortable, connected, and confident throughout your NORDIC TechKomm experience – no overthinking required.
Before the Conference: Plan with Purpose
Good preparation sets the foundation for learning, impactful conversations, and long-term professional relationships that last beyond the conference.
Buy your conference ticket
Conference tickets are available at reduced rates for tekom members, students, and attendees using the Bring Your Colleague Discount. Early Bird tickets are available until February 23.
Book travel and accommodation early
To make our attendees' stay easier, we have arranged a booking code with the hotel.
Define your goals
Walking into a conference without a plan is not a good idea – it can leave you overwhelmed. Instead, write down 2–3 goals, such as:
- To learn more about a specific topic or tool
- To meet new contacts
- …
Review the program
Familiarize yourself with the agenda, keynote, presentations, and workshops. Identify sessions and speakers most relevant to your role and goals.
Register for sessions
Bookmark the sessions you want to attend. Especially on day two, when parallel sessions take place, it’s worth bookmarking early to make sure you don’t miss what matters most to you. Please don’t forget to save your spot in workshops, as spaces are limited.
Start networking before the first handshake / expand your network ahead of the event
There is a lot to see and hear at the conference. Feel free to network in advance to build a good foundation. Follow the event on LinkedIn, speakers, sponsors, and fellow attendees. A short LinkedIn message before the conference can make the first on-site conversation much easier.
Announce your participation
Share the good news and tag us in your posts – we love to see it. Put the following hashtags under your post: #nordictechkomm #NORDIC_TK #tcworld #NORDIC_TechKomm2026 #tekom_europe#conference #PLM

Participate actively

Manage time and energy
Conferences are inspiring – and intense. We have made sure to provide plenty of breaks, as well as delicious food and a variety of drinks. So make sure to stay hydrated, stretch after each session and pace yourself.
After the Conference: Follow Up & Keep the Momentum Going
A conference doesn’t end with the last presentation – it’s where conversations, connections, and ideas continue.
Let the Presentation Slides Keep the Learning Alive
After the conference you can download the presentation slides in „my conference tool“. Perfect if you missed a session or want to revisit a key topic. Simply log in and open the program overview.
Share insights with your team
Summarize your key takeaways, trends, and ideas in a short internal recap. This helps turn inspiration into action.
Stay connected
